Callbreak — also known as Call Bridge in some parts of South Asia — is a four-player trick-taking card game played with a standard 52-card deck. Each player is dealt 13 cards and must declare the number of tricks they expect to win before the round begins. That declaration is your "call" — and the entire game revolves around whether you can back it up.

Spades is always the trump suit in Callbreak. If you cannot follow the lead suit, you must play a spade. The player who wins the most tricks relative to their declared call earns positive points — fall short of your call and you lose points equal to your declaration. Five rounds make a full game, and the player with the highest cumulative score at the end wins the table.

Each of the four players receives exactly 13 cards from a standard 52-card deck. Cards are dealt anti-clockwise. The deal rotates to the left after every round, so each player gets to deal once across the five rounds of a full game. On kp365, the dealing process is automated and instant — your 13 cards appear face-up to you only at the start of each round.

Before the first trick of each round, every player must declare a number between 1 and 8 — this is their "call." If you win exactly your called number of tricks or more, you earn points equal to your call (with a small bonus of 0.1 per extra trick won above the call). If you win fewer tricks than your call, you lose points equal to your call. For example: call 4, win 4 = +4 points. Call 4, win 3 = −4 points. Call 4, win 6 = +4.2 points.

Spades (♠) are always the trump suit in Callbreak — this is fixed and does not change between rounds or games. If a player cannot follow the lead suit, they must play a spade if they have one. A spade of any rank beats a non-spade card of any rank. Among spades, the higher rank wins. Ace of spades is the strongest card in the entire deck.

If you cannot follow the lead suit, you must play a spade (trump). If you have no spades either, you may discard any card from your hand — but that card cannot win the trick. You are never allowed to intentionally withhold the lead suit if you hold it; kp365's game engine enforces legal plays automatically and will only allow you to play cards that comply with the rules on every turn.

A standard Callbreak game on kp365 consists of five rounds. Each round involves all 13 tricks being played out. After five rounds, the cumulative points of each player are totalled. Within any suit, the ranking from highest to lowest is: Ace → King → Queen → Jack → 10 → 9 → 8 → 7 → 6 → 5 → 4 → 3 → 2. Aces are high in Callbreak — they are never low. The Ace of Spades is therefore the single most powerful card in the game and guarantees a trick win under almost all circumstances.
